How to start with TOSCA automation tool?
i have worked on tools QTP and TestComplete, in my current project we have(Client) finalized the tool TOSCA, when i navigated through this tool i found this is quite complicated, as well i found that the help file is really not helpful.
If anybody worked on this tool, could please help me out how to start with TOSCA? and how is it differ from other testing tools(QTP/TC)?
also when i gone through help files i didnot found anything about which scripting language ? about looping and conditional statements... if anybody have an idea regds pls share...
Re: How to start with TOSCA automation tool?
The first thing to do is to run "play" the tutorial. There is a Tutorial document in the documents folder.
The main difference to everything else is: There is no scripting! The workflow is based on scanning your interface and then defining a testcase and linking the technical information to the business information. That's it.
When you absolved the tutorial you can also go through the trial. Some parts are equal but you will be introduced to the full cycle: From defining requirements, using testcase design to generate synthetic testdata, building your tests with technical and business logic and finally running the test and generating report. This is where the cycle starts again with requirements... Well, that's the idea. I suggest you start with the tutorial or make your boss pay you a Foundation level training ;-)
