Since you're not getting any responses about that particular tool, perhaps it would be helpful if you said a little more about what you're specifically trying to accomplish. We've had customers using our tool Eggplant to automate applications in a Citrix environment. Depending on what your needs are, it may be helpful for you as well.

    Re: citra tool in citrix

    Pinky,

The only thing I can suggest is that you will need to load "the tool" (whatever that may be) into the same session as your application under Citrix. What that means is the Citrix session/VM itself. Because Citrix via the NFuse/ICA client runs the application as a hosted application (as you know) and that the desktop/application that the end-user sees is really a terminal app. Meaning all they see is a bitmap representation of the application.

In order for you to get full access to the AUT you need to put your test tool in the same memory space as your hosted application so that the tool can get at its objects (not bitmap representation) and do what it is you need to do.

Most any tool will work this way. But if you still have the requirement to automate testing from the "client" side of the Citrix session you will be severly limited to the Bitmap issue. Just the way it is.
