Can any ACT users tell me whether it's possible within a script to capture a dynamic ID generated by the server and use it in a later request within the same script? I'm currently trying to do this using Microsoft Web Application Stress Tool, but I suspect it's impossible - just wondering whether ACT, being the 'next generation', includes this functionality - in which case it'd be worth me having a look at it.
Depends on where the dynamic id is sent. If it's in the HTML headers (like a cookie), or sent back in the response body (like a hidden name/value pair in the html or something), it's certainly accomplishable.
I prefer 'maliciously mischevious'.
