Stanbdard Performance of Perticular Page
I have recorded a Test in ACT. Then I run that perticular Test.It shows me the detail output like average request per second, Average time to first byte,Average time to last byte etc etc. At the bottom it shows me Response Code which is having Count and Percent(%).
I am not able know from this Test Report
WHAT MUST BE THE IDEAL RESPONSE TIME???.HOW I KNOW THAT, PERTICULAR PAGE IS GIVING ME RIGHT PERFORMANCE WITH 1 USER?
If I run the same Test with 2 users how I am going to know that the performance of perticular page is degrading(if any!!) or its working as per standards.
WHERE THAT RESULT I HAVE TO COMPARE WITH THE PREVIOUS ONE?
WHAT ARE STANDARDS THAT THE PERTICULAR PAGE SHOULD GIVE ATLEAST SPECIFIED PERFORMANCE IF SINGLE USER IS ACCESSING THAT PAGE? (LIKE
IF Total number of requests: XYZ
AND Total number of connections: XYZ
Average requests per second: ???
Average time to first byte (msecs): ???
Average time to last byte (msecs): ???
Average time to last byte per iteration (msecs): ???
Some body please reply ASAP as though i succeded in giving output but not able to explain that perticular page is giving standard performance or its degraded ?
Re: Stanbdard Performance of Perticular Page
Ideal response time is something you can't calculate. It is something you get from the performance specs. In the test plan should be stated what the desired response times are for certain pages under a certain load. Then you run a performance test and you can check the real response times with the desired ones.
