I want to check the load that my application can withstand.
So in order to generate the load i'm keeping the number of browser connections value a constant(say 1) and increasing the number of iterations each time i run the script. Is this a correct way to generate load? pl clarify.
No. You would increase the number of browser connections.
Iterations vs. Browser Connections
In ACT you have a number of Simultaneous Browser Connections. This represents the number of “users” (threads) that will be running your script. The “Iterations” field actually means the number of TOTAL runs (browser connections * runs) rather than just the number of laps you want all the users to run (JUST runs). So when you have 100 connections, and you want them all to run the script 20 times, you will have 2000 iterations set, rather than just 20.
