What is the difference? Is WAST less, more, or either (depending)?
I guess it would make a large difference between what WAST looks at in measuring response time. TTLB literally takes the time from sending the post to recieving the final byte from the server...which is why it corresponds to this:
I've compared TTLB to putting a custom timer function AROUND the post, so that I could measure response time even if it times out or fails to get a server response (which kills the TTLB query). The times measure up very closely...within fractions of a second in every case. So it's at least consistent.
Thanks for your reply. sorry the tool is Web application Performance tool (WAPT by novosoft). it shows response time more.
Can you just post the timer function you had writtern & explain the way to check.
Is Page download tim & response time (ACT) are different?
