As far as i analysed about the file "robots.txt" , it is a file which is maintained for giving accessibilty options for specific users or agents for viewing specific pages.
In project properties , i had disabled the option which is used for checking the robots.txt file.I dont want any user restriction criteria.
will this cause any problem to my recording and playback session of my script?
Checking for Robots.txt (or not) does not impact how your script runs. Essentially that file exists on a server to tell you "I don't want you running a stress script against my server". And by disabling the check in your test, you're saying "I don't care if you don't want me to run a script against your server, I'm going to anyway." Hence why Microsoft put that disclaimer in there when you uncheck it, because they don't want to get dragged into any litigations when you try to use ACT to crash Yahoo.com.
I prefer 'maliciously mischevious'.
