funny you should ask...I just got off the phone with my Merc rep and was told .Net is not supported in any WinRunner version, current or future.
Mercury is focusing support for .Net into the their other product suite(s).
You have to use Quick Test Pro. Good luck with getting upgrade pricing. They told us we'd have to buy it at cost. We're now looking at other vendors.
Actual quote from an email I received from a product manager:
"I want to tell all our customers to go to it (site) on Monday next week. I especially want to make sure the forums work right. Can you test every feature you can find?"
Testing .NET WinForms might be a different matter, however the .NET platform does provide the means to control your .NET application form another application (i.e. just like a test tool). It does require someone with some programming skills though.
