How to test .net application under development?

How to test (actually SQA) a .net application (testing types/processes and steps to be followed in sequence) which is already under development for months but still far (more than a year) from finished? Resources for testing will include developers, business users, and non-technical testers. Testing tools will include at least VSTS2008 Development Edition (if possible, Test Edition or even Team Suite) and Team Foundation Server.

    Here is my thought:

    1. Review architectual designs
    2. Create/Perform Unit tests
    3. Create/Perform Functional tests including Integraton tests
    4. Create/Perform Performance tests
    5. Create/Perform Load tests
    6. Create/Perform Stress tests
    7. Perform Regression tests using tests created in previous steps

    Thanks.

    Hi pcsql66 ,

If you are going to test the .Net application better install Nunit. This will cover all the coverages. VSTS and Nunit both are similar but NUnit is client requirement in most of the projects.

    Thanks,
